Enable File Sharing on the Mac

  1. Go to System Preferences and select Sharing
  2. Enable File Sharing (tick the box)
  3. Add your folders you want to share to the Shared Folders list

Access your Shared Folders from VirtualBox

  1. Open the VirtualBox main menu and select your guest operating system
  2. Select Settings then select Shared Folders
  3. Enter the path of the folders used in the Mac File Sharing above
